It’s Chinese New Year 2014, the year of the wooden horse, yippee! and the way I feel about horses makes me thinketh, it’s going to be a great year. So get your chocolate on and get ready to paint the town red.

Celebrate Chinese New Year
with a big bucket of fat fried Wonton Chocolate Kisses
I just love this recipe, courtesy of Got Chocolate. It’s so simple and only takes a few ingredients to make. It’s perfect for a chocolate Chinese New Year nibble, and such a delicious blend of crispy and sweet.
How to make a Wonton Kiss that Sizzles

You’ll need:
- Hershey’s Kisses (substitute with another chocolate if desired)
- wonton wrappers
- cooking oil
- deep fryer
Basically just unwrap the chocolate kiss, place it in a wonton wrapper, seal the edges, and fling it in the fryer.

These would be nice additions to your chocolate wonton extravaganza, and would add some festivity to your presentation. How to accessorize for maximum appeal:
- Trot on over to your local China town and pick up some authentic paper decorations
- Serve the Wonton Kisses on Chinese newspaper, a red paper fan, or at least a bright red plate (if you’re lazy)
- Throw in some cookies, and/or red candy
- Sprinkle on a little red, gold or/and black edible disco dust for some sparkle , and Shazam!.
Red accents are a must.
